How does ACTWELL's pricing work?

How far in advance should we book a private course?

Four to six weeks notice is ideal for most groups. Warden training that includes first attack firefighting needs more lead time because of fire equipment logistics. Get in touch as soon as you know a date and we will work with your timing.

What certifications do I need to renew?

Accepted Answer

CPR (HLTAID009) is an annual renewal. First aid (HLTAID011, HLTAID012) is every three years. Warden and ECO skills retention is recommended every six months under AS 3745-2010. Evacuation diagrams have a five-year compliance cycle.

Do you come to our workplace?

Yes. We deliver at your facility across the ACT and surrounding NSW, and you are also welcome to hold private training at ACTWELL's Fyshwick training facility. There is no price difference for either option.

Do you offer weekend and after-hours training?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Courses that start outside core business hours, 9am to 5pm, attract additional fees: 15% for after-hours delivery and 30% for Sunday delivery. The tool can give you an estimate, and the final amount is confirmed in your written quote.

How do the base rate and per-person rates work?

Private training is calculated with a fixed base rate for the selected course. This is the minimum charge and includes up to 10 participants. For groups of 11 or more, per-person pricing applies after the first 10 participants.

Do larger groups receive group value pricing?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Where scaled pricing applies, the estimator automatically applies lower per-person rates as participant numbers increase, generally from 30 participants and above. Your written quote confirms the final participant breakdown and any group value pricing.

Are ACTWELL estimates all-inclusive?

Yes. The estimate includes the selected training, all documentation and RTO processing where relevant, trainer time, equipment and on site delivery, or private use of ACTWELL's facility. There are no hidden fees. If the scope changes, we confirm that in writing before the booking is secured.

How many evacuation diagrams can I estimate online?

Online estimator pricing is available for up to 25 evacuation diagrams. If your site may need more than 25 diagrams, request a site visit and ACTWELL will confirm the scope before preparing a tailored quote.

Why does ACTWELL confirm the final diagram count?

Accepted Answer

The number of diagrams needed depends on the site layout, floor levels, exits, equipment locations, assembly areas and where diagrams need to be displayed. ACTWELL can advise the likely number and location of diagrams required. The final number and placement should be reviewed and approved by the organisation’s Emergency Planning Committee.

What is included in an evacuation diagram package?

The package includes site visit and assessment, diagram drafting, amendments before publishing, standard printing and framing, installation at your site, digital copies and compliance documentation.

Is the online estimate the final price?

No. The online estimate is indicative. ACTWELL confirms the final diagram count, layout requirements, material requirements and installation scope before issuing the written quote.

What happens if we need more than 25 diagrams?

For larger sites, ACTWELL will start with a site visit. This lets us confirm the scope properly and prepare a tailored quote instead of showing a rough online price.

Does the emergency planning site visit fee apply to evacuation diagrams?

No. The separate emergency planning site visit fee does not apply to evacuation diagram packages. Evacuation diagram pricing already includes the relevant site visit and assessment component.

A Public Course Pass Pack is a set of prepaid pass codes for ACTWELL scheduled public courses, linked to the unit code your team needs. It suits organisations with staff who need to attend public sessions over time rather than all on the same private training day.

Public Course Pass Packs start from 5 passes per unit code and are selected in 5-pass batches. The estimator shows the standard public total alongside the estimated pass pack total and dollar saving for your selection. If you need a different number, add it in the notes and ACTWELL will confirm the final pack, validity period and invoice in writing before passes are issued.

Can we include more than one unit code in a pass pack request?

Yes. You can include more than one unit code in the same pass pack request, such as HLTAID009 CPR, HLTAID011 Provide First Aid and HLTAID012 Education/Care First Aid. Each unit code is priced separately and selected in 5-pass batches.

Do all staff need to attend the same public course date?

No. Public Course Pass Packs are designed for teams who need to send staff through public courses over time. Each pass is linked to a nominated unit code, such as HLTAID009, HLTAID011 or HLTAID012. Staff can use pass codes to book into available scheduled public course dates for that unit while the passes remain valid.

Does buying a pass pack reserve seats in a public course?

No. Buying a pass pack gives your organisation prepaid pass codes for the nominated unit code. Public course places are only reserved once a valid pass code is applied through ACTWELL’s Training Desk booking system and the booking confirmation is issued. Public course availability still applies. Passes can be used while course dates are open and seats remain.

What happens if a staff member cancels or doesn’t attend?

Standard public course cancellation, late withdrawal and no-show terms apply. A pass code used for a missed, late-cancelled or withdrawn booking is treated as used or expired. The participant will need a fresh code from their organisation to attend a later session.

How long are passes valid for?

Accepted Answer

Passes must be used within the validity period stated at purchase. ACTWELL confirms the issue details, validity period and booking process in writing when the pack is issued.

What happens if ACTWELL’s prices change?

Accepted Answer

Passes already purchased are honoured for the nominated course until the stated validity period ends. New pass packs are quoted using the current public course pricing at the time of purchase.

Are passes refundable?

Accepted Answer

Pass packs are purchased for nominated courses and are not redeemable for cash or account credit for change of mind. Consumer law rights still apply.

Can passes be transferred between staff?

Accepted Answer

Yes, within the purchasing organisation. Pass bookings may be transferred to another staff member up to the day before the course, provided ACTWELL can reasonably complete the administrative change in time. The replacement participant must still meet any course entry or enrolment requirements.

Can we use passes across multiple dates?

Yes. That is one of the main reasons organisations use pass packs. Staff can book into suitable scheduled public sessions while the passes remain valid.
